The Polished Hare wasn't built by car detailers who branched into aviation. It was founded by an aerospace engineer who understands the materials, structures, and chemistry of the aircraft we service — from the composite honeycomb panels beneath the paint to the metallurgy of the brightwork we restore.
Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, bringing materials science training directly into every protocol we develop. That means every chemical we select, every wash method we use, and every coating we apply is tailored to the specific airframe and substrate — not borrowed from the automotive detailing world and forced onto a multi-million-dollar aircraft.
Together, Anna Marie and Michael bring 11+ years of combined aviation experience to every job. Based in the greater Chicago area, they serve aircraft owners at seven airports from the western suburbs of Naperville and Hinsdale to the North Shore communities of Lake Forest and Barrington. They have built a reputation among charter managers, DOMs, pilots, and aircraft owners for delivering results that stand up to pre-buy inspections, ownership presentations, and the scrutiny of the most demanding flight departments in the Midwest.
